Recorded in Seattle and included on the 1983 Next Exit LP entitled Metropolitan West.

lyrics

Tension, frustration, you can’t even vanquish your nervous fatigue
Insomnia, aggravation destructing you
You want to feel sprite, brave this shifting age
Trade in your body, turn a new page

Run, you own your body the rest of your life
Go, my body does whatever I want
I dash on down to the corner
I scurry around the block
I take to my feet and run to the park

Faster, you need your body the rest of your life
Harder, you can re-wake whatever you want
I hustle across the green grass
I scamper right over the dirt
I’ll work the muscles and then I will rest

Run, you want your body the rest of your life
Farther, I’m going to seize this moment of life
I do what I want with my body
I’m going to demand even more
I Iike the feeling of being alive

For their first live show, they played at a Drive-In Movie Theater on the roof of the concession stand.

Static Cling was the first song they wrote with the new lineup.
